Cable and Cord: Definitions According to GOST 15845-80
GCR offers both types of products. The difference between them is defined by the standard and determined by their intended operating conditions:
- Cable — designed for permanent installation. The outer jacket is reinforced and provides protection against external influences. Suitable for installation inside walls, cable ducts, and outdoor areas.
- Cord — designed for flexible connections. It is more flexible and intended for frequent reconnection and movement of equipment.
Each model is designed for a specific application: permanent installation or flexible connection.
Technologies and Specifications
GCR cables support HDMI 2.1 with data transfer rates of up to 48 Gbit/s. This is a standard requirement for modern high-resolution video.
GCR cables support:
- 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120/144 Hz;
- HDR, eARC, VRR, ALLM, QMS, QFT;
- HDCP 2.2 and 2.3 content protection.

Materials
Budget cables often use copper with impurities, which increases conductor resistance. GCR uses oxygen-free copper (OFC): fewer impurities mean lower resistance and a more stable signal.
The contacts are plated with 24K gold. The coating protects against oxidation and maintains stable impedance over long-term use.
Professional series cables feature triple shielding:
- foil shielding on each differential pair — reduces crosstalk inside the cable;
- an overall foil shield — protects against external high-frequency interference;
- a braid (copper or steel, depending on the model) — suppresses low-frequency interference and provides additional mechanical reinforcement.
The GCR PRO series is equipped with ferrite filters to suppress high-frequency noise.
GCR cables are designed to operate near power lines, server equipment, and industrial installations.

Manufacturing
The manufacturing facility is the Pskov Plant of Computer and Mobile Cable (PZKMK). ISO 9001 certified.
Production stages:
- Drawing copper wire from rod.
- Extrusion of insulation and outer jacket.
- Application of braid and multilayer shielding.
- Laser marking.
- Electrical and mechanical testing.
Every cable undergoes bench testing. Critical production operations are subject to continuous rather than sampling-based quality control.
